Collective Matter is a collaboration between three artists, Eva Masterman, Mary O’Malley and Katie Spragg.
Facilitating opportunities for professional artists and younger people to have access and support in arts and arts learning is at the core of our ethos. We also use clay and materials to explore cross-disciplinary practice, creative communication, and believe in the potential of material language as a form of interdisciplinary learning and creativity.
We run our practice out of a flexible clay studio alongside Turner Prize winning arts/architecture/design group Assemble in London and recently launched our satellite space The Potting Shed at Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer in Buckinghamshire.
Through combining practical application with critical discussion, we hope to contribute to the wider professional dialogue surrounding the recent trends in material making and social responsibility within the arts.
